Gumdrop Cake

1 ½ cups raisins soaked
1 ½ cup apple sauce
1 tea soda
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
4 cups flour
1 tea baking powder
1 lb small gumdrops cut
1 ½ cup nut meat cut
½ tea salt

Bake 1 hour at 350 deg.  Makes 2 leaf pans
