Bubba drive thru makes the food great for the takin', but this SMU hangout is fun the sit and people watch. My favorite and their most noteable is the chicken fried steak. My buddies quencied his taste for fried chicken liver, but I had to look the other way. Just a great little greasey spoon. Great burgers.

Not enough can be said of this Mexican staple restaurant with same consistency food every time and flocks of beautiful people here on most nights...especially Tuesday for $2.50 margaritas and Thursday’s for pretty persons night out, making it the ultimate hangout 6-10:30. Food is great also. I like the mesquite shrimp, fajitas, and believe it or not, they serve the best cheeseburger and fries in town. Other appetizer highlights are the spinach or chicken Quesadillas, big enough for a meal. Might also have best chips and salsa in town...make sure to order queso with hamburger meat it’s to die for.

The original is my favorite but they have cloned the added restaurants rather nicely in this American favorite. The place is frequented by SMUers, kids, and parents who have just came from little league games. My favorite is the bite size silver dollar cheeseburgers when added to a basket of fries make this the perfect spot to watch that mid day sporting event.

A perfect imitation of a burger joint. Its made to order burgers are simply to die for along with its close to perfection onion rings. Top your "fatal" meal off with Chips' gooey milkshakes and this time-honored, jam-packed establishment will have you forgetting your calorie intake. The best salad in Dallas is their SW Chicken Salad with smokey ranch dressing.

A voguish version of your typical sports bar, Champps offers you hearty and substantial portions of your not so typical "bar food" like the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad and its wide array of burgers. Mostly notorious for its spinsters and the "lovelies" that they attract. It can get a bit loud with it's simultaneous big screen TVs and the live DJ presenting its varying nightly forms of entertainment.

This Deep Ellum American is a total zoo at lunch time. Its because they have some of the best hamburgers and sandwiches you will have ever had and people are usually lined up into the street. The chicken breast sandwich is another special, as are their salads. Watch out at night a whole new crowd hits the spot and the business lunchers are gone and the gen Xers are in.
