JENA'S ALL GOOD CAFE
Profile
From the grooves of cars that this breakfast and lunch hot spot has in front of it, should give you an indication of just how good the food really is. Chicken fried steak for lunch and banana pancakes for breakfast are the highlights of an all star menu. It's been here for about 60 years.

I always like to say that if you want great Asian food, go where the Asians are frequent, because who would be the best judges but the natives, right? Therefore, with that philosophy, I get very weary of “Americanized” Asian joints for fear of its lack of authentication with ingredients and spices. I must say that the ornamentation and environment creates a very romantic and sexy atmosphere coated with some of Dallas’ handsome people. Almost everyone orders their chicken lettuce wrap with their hot mustard and sweet sauce, an inviting flavor. Among the place’s hits are the stir-fried spicy eggplants minus the skin (not authentic), orange peel shrimp with hot chilis, and Singapore noodles with curry, a tangy concoction of various vegetables on angel hair rice noodles. Altogether, a decent experience but mostly because of the milieu and the essence that it brought out

This is a great place for a quite date with an assortment of food, which will please everyone. My favorite is the roasted chicken with fresh green beans. The have a tasty broccoli soup and wide selection of salads. Sit on the patio and watch the Mockingbird Center crowd. Plenty of heart healthy entrees on the menu.
