Serego Alighieri Bianco

This is a favorite of mine, having sampled it at a wine dinner at Mi Piaci.  Full bodied, fruity and spicy made it a nice pairing with the calamari appitizers it was served with.

History:
The history of Masi is the history of its vineyards around Verona, in the Venetian region. The name derives from “vaio dei Masi”, the little valley acquired in the late 18th century by the Boscaini family who retains ownership to this day. The company has grown step by step through successive, and very careful purchases in the heart of the viticultural areas of Veneto. Among the vineyards Masi manages is the most historic estate in Valpolicella, which belongs to the noble Serego Alighieri family, descendants of the poet Dante, since 1353. Masi is a family run company managed by Sandro Boscaini.

Served at Eccolo, Mi Piaci  in Dallas.
